Watercolours
STORM
A polyptych of a storm forming over the Pacific coast of Mexico. The 5 large scale watercolours formed part of the exhibition America: Between Iguazu and the Copper Canyon together with the works that follow, both collections created after the artist’s latest trips to Mexico.
THE COPPER CANYON
Large “impressions” of a place, which stared to point to the latest artistic development in Agudo’s work: the move towards abstraction in the representation of landscapes in watercolour.
CADIZ
Always Cadiz, a constant throughout Antonio’s life and work, where he returns to, in the below, in a more concrete form, and, lately, in further abstract representations, particularly of its coastline.
THE GUADAIRA RIVERBANK
Another constant, Alcala de Guadaira, in his work and teachings as well. The collection below, which came after Cadiz, was created during a week’s masterclass, painting with students in the banks of the river.
